The Corinth-Alcorn Animal Shelterwith the support of the AC Board of Supervisors is proud to have ACSpay. This  program will provide low-cost spaying for female dogs owned by ALL Alcorn County Residents. If you live in Corinth and Alcorn County, Mississippi, the cost is $25 will include the procedure and a rabies vaccination.

Available for ALL residents of Corinth and Alcorn County for dogs and cats/male and female.

CAT (Female): $35 plus cost of vaccinations required by vet
CAT (male): $25 plus cost of vaccinations required by vet

DOG (Female): $45 plus cost of vaccinations required by vet
DOG (male): $35 plus cost of vaccinations required by vet

UP-CHARGE of $50 FOR ANIMALS OVER 75 pounds (it is a lot more $ to do these surgeries!).

NOTE: Please do not schedule your animal if they are in heat...it can wait a few weeks to be out of heat which is safer for the dog/cat. (Once we say we can help, we will, even if it is a few weeks from now)

INCOME REQUIREMENTS:

• Family Income Maximums

◦ $40,000 – 1 Person Household

◦ $50,000 – 2 Person Household

◦ $55,000 – 3 Person Household

◦ $60,000 – 4 Person Household

◦ $65,000 – 5 Person Household

◦ $70,000 – 6 Person Household

◦ Income limits continue to increase by $5,000 with each additional person living in the household

COST: 

Male or Female Dog:  $50

Male or Female Cat:  $30

Rabies Vaccination: (required if not current) $5

***NO RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS- Desoto County residents are eligible to participate in the program.

The Mississippi Animal Rescue League offers a low cost spay/neuter program ONLY at participating veterinary clinics in the state of Mississippi. An application, found HERE must be submitted to MARL and you’ll need to check your city/county to see if there’s a participating vet in your area. Price is only applicable if the vet office selected has elected to become a partner in the LCSN Program.

COST: $30 cat / $45 dog 

***INCOME REQUIREMENTS APPLY. To qualify for the program, applicants must receive one of the following: Medicaid, Medicare, VA Disability, Social Security Disability, Current Unemployment Benefits, Social Security Retirement, Food Stamps, Aid to dependent Children. Proof of low income required.

TUPELO: Ward Veterinary Services has partnered with MARL to provide free spays and neuters to those who qualify in the community. Go to https://msarl.org/lcsn-application/ for an application. Once approved, MARL will send you a certificate, then call 662-891-2737 to schedule your appointment. Please be sure to verify directly with the clinic if this program is still active and accepting new applicants. Union County Humane Society has recently announced they have transitioned from animal intake to offering low cost spay/neuter services for Union County residents who meet specified income requirements. Applications and appointment information will be posted here when they become available.
